WAYS TO VOLUNTEER

  • Special Events 

    • There are always numerous opportunities to help at our fundraising events

  • Childcare

    • Childcare is often needed while residents attend group support sessions.​

  • Office Administrative Support

    • Answering phones, helping with mailings, general clerical work​

  • Building Maintenance

    • Minor repairs at the office and shelter is always a need​

  • Landscaping

    • Beautification at the shelter and office helps create a more welcoming environment

  • Foster Pets

    • Leaving a pet behind can be difficult and not all pets can be allowed in the shelter. You can help by fostering a pet.​

  • Lead Group Project

    • Crafts, ​Games, Provide Movie Passes, etc.

Domestic Violence Shelter Tax Credit

 

By donating cash, stock, bonds, real property or other marketable securities to a qualified domestic violence shelter, Missouri taxpayers:

​

  • Help fund temporary shelters for victims of domestic violence, and

  • Can receive a tax credit for up to 50% of their contribution of $100 or more.
